Our mission
Melgard Farms is a vertically integrated farm and mill, where we cultivate, mill, and package our own grains on site. This allows us to ensure the integrity of our ingredients. From start to finish, it never leaves the farm.
Husband and wife Kris & Emily are the hands and heart behind Melgard Farm. Kris is a second generation farmer and Emily worked for a bakery for two years where her passion for baking began. Together they created a family run mill devoted to regenerative farming, grains that are untouched by chemicals and pesticides, and flour milled fresh to every order.

Regenerative farming encompasses cultivation practices that enhance soil health without comprising the surrounding farm environment. This includes growing cover crops, incorporating compost to our soil, not using herbicides or insecticides on our grains, and using beneficial insects to help control pests.
By increasing organic matter in our soils we increase water holding capacity and eliminate the need for synthetic fertilizer.
